First, let me begin with an apology. This blog has been devoid of any substance or entertainment for some time now. How a once blank, beautiful canvas of endless writing potential could degenerate into a blog about blow and boobs is still beyond me. But, it is what it is.
If it is any consolation, I have just had a piece published by the St James Ethics Centre! The article is in relation to Ethics and Feminist Legal Theory (you can find it here http://www.ethics.org.au/ethics-articles/exile-emotion-ethical-theory-and-law). It is completely accessible - meaning, you don't need to have a degree in law (or in anything, for that matter) to understand it. It is intended as a light and hopefully entertaining opinion piece. So, if substance is what you seek, I invite you to head over there and have a read.
Also, I understand by linking to the article, I am not only 'outing' myself as a feminist, but perhaps worse still, I am no longer posting anonymously. So, there will be a bit of house keeping around here - locking personal posts, writing a professional 'About page' (professional in this case means not using the word 'ta-tas' and 'admitted solicitor in NSW' in the same sentence) and more writing.
I guess it's a solid move in the direction of writing professionally.
So, my dear readers, thank you for your continued reading, please do stay around and together we'll see where this road leads (hopefully that road is not Parramatta Road, and hopefully I'm not pushing a cat in a pram with an assorted collection of plastic bags onto oncoming traffic). As I said, we'll see.

Baking
As it happens, a lot can be done in those fleeting, sober moments that break up the ho-hum of one intoxicating, alcohol-fuelled stupor from the next.
Like, cooking.Yes, I made these muffins! I did! And just smashed down two with my tea. So baller.

gratuitous camera phone photos
Many a times it has been asked - what, exactly, is it that I get up to during day light hours? For those enquiring minds, I've compiled my day in photographs using the camera on my phone.
So how about we start with right now. Well, right now, I'm having tea and the most indescribably delicious hand-made chocolate muffins, ever! OMG YUM! I need to get this recipe (and if my friend is feeling ever so kind, I suspect she may even let me publish the recipe on here as well - we'll see).
But before all this deliciousness, I had to slog the hard yards at work.

From a bit of blow to a bit of tea bagging
Just finished watching that sordid Nigella Lawson on TV again. Her suppressed sexuality either irrates or arouses me. Genuinely befuddled. Did you know she has a book where she's pictured on the cover provocatively positioning a cinnamon stick in her mouth. And the title is called 'Nigella Blows'. Yes, really! How does she get away with that shit?
Also, my new Samsung Galaxy phone! So, I still don't know how to answer calls, but damn, does it take some awesome pictorials!

So, you woke up with a $2 coin stuck to your forehead today....
Not because that has ever happened to me or anything. Anyway, I just dropped by to announce if you have a few quid lying around, under your mattress or on your forehead, perhaps you might like to consider donating to Plan or Opportunity International's various microfinancing programs. I honestly believe if you really want to give to make a meaningful difference in terms of development (for both girls and boys), invest in a girl. Girls are where its at, y'all.
